Henry Andrew Schmuland
The community was shocked on Sunday afternoon last, to learn that
Henry Andrew Schmuland was drowned in the C.P.R. dam that afternoon.
Every effort was made to recover the remains, but the
body was not found until Monday evening. He was aged twenty-four
years, and during the past few months had the misfortune to have
an arm and shoulder fractured, while some four
years ago he had his foot caught in the belt of a sawing outfit,
necessitating the amputation of his foot.
He leaves to mourn his loss, his mother, nine sisters and three brothers.
The funeral took place Tuesday afternoon, service being held in the
German Lutheran Church, Pleasant Prairie conducted by Rev. Klingbeil, and
the interment took place in the Pleasant Prairie cemetery.
The assistance rendered by relatives and friends in an effort to recover the
body, is greatly appreciated by all concerned.
