The few cm of snow that fell wasn’t enough to replace what melted over the weekend, but the cooler temps have made for some better grooming.

A shortened 50th st loop connected to the treeline and back down the center was groomed today. In total it measures about 2600M and misses most of the ice, Georges chute (closest to parking lot) being the exception. No tracks. Fair to good condition.

A Loop that cuts out about 1000M closest to 50th st was groomed today. This loop mostly follows Capilano Crescent and is about 1600M. No tracks. Fair condition, some areas of ice under snow.

We have suspended grooming: Woodcutters, the lake loop and lake bed, Goldstick and Rundle. Tracks are unlikely to be set until we receive more snowfall.

I’m told ‘For what it's worth I just skied Athabasca, he had just groomed it this morning.
They had 4" or so this week & low temps so still good coverage
However it is supposed to get very warm this weekend so probably not good after noon. also they get a lot of walkers.’

The PNSC trails have deteriorated quickly over the past week. I would NOT consider them fit for skiing. Lots of bare patches.

Skiing is no longer possible at the Hornbeck Trails.  See you next season!  Thanks to all the volunteers that helped with trail maintenance and grooming.  We had pretty good skiing from mid-November to early March.

At least at Heritage Ranch and Great Chief Park the skiing is done. Not that there isn't a sufficient snow base to re groom but a City project has blocked off our trailhead. River Bend may still be acceptable for ski skating but recent warm weather and winds have severely impacted the snow base. Thanks for the opportunity to contribute to this excellent web site and see you next winter.
